ATHEA recently completed an institutional accreditation site visit to the Polytechnic College of the Technological Institute in Umnugovi Province, affiliated with the Mongolian University of Science and Technology, from May 4 to May 6, 2026. The visit marked an important milestone in the institution’s quality assurance and accreditation journey.
Located in the heart of the Gobi Desert, the Polytechnic College plays a vital role in preparing skilled professionals for one of Mongolia’s most resource-rich regions. The institution demonstrated a strong commitment to vocational and technical education through its close engagement with industry partners, regional stakeholders, and hands-on student learning.
ATHEA extends its sincere appreciation to Dr. Nitesh Sugnani, Chair of the Peer Review Expert Panel, for his excellent leadership and guidance throughout this important accreditation milestone. ATHEA also thanks peer reviewer Arber Reci and Mick Scholtka, the student representative from the European Students’ Union (ESU), for their valuable contributions, professionalism, and collaborative engagement during the review process.
